New World is a small Housing Association working in South London with our offices in Balham. Originally set up as a BME association catering for the Vietnamese and Chinese communities, New World operates now as a community based association open to all. We have around 500 homes in ownership and an annual turnover of over £4 million. We are recruiting new Board members to help us continue to drive our focus on our services, delivering value for money and providing an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to board discussions and decision making to steer the organisation in line with its mission and values.
- Help ensure focus on services, value for money, and an outstanding customer experience.
- Attend the board meetings (typically four times a year) and participate in any additional meetings or away days as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in housing finance, construction, law or IT; background from any sector will be considered.
- Aptitude to work as part of a team and a commitment to making a positive contribution.
- Strong values and passion for governance and community housing.
Benefits / Remuneration
- Board members are paid £2000 per year.
