St Thomas' Lancaster is a dynamic evangelical charismatic Anglican church in the heart of Lancaster, committed to sharing God's love across all ages and backgrounds. With a vibrant congregation that includes around 150 children and young people weekly, the church is seeking a Youth Lead to take this vital ministry to the next level, building on strong foundations and with a clear vision for the future.

St Thomas' Lancaster's youth ministry provision is comprehensive, dynamic, and rooted in the church's vision to share God's love across the city. Through STYLE (St Tees Youth Lancaster England), and its associated activities, the church provides a welcoming, faith-nurturing, and outward-looking environment for young people, supported by a committed leadership team and integrated into the life and mission of the wider church.

The Youth Ministry Leader is an exciting new role for an inspirational and enthusiastic leader who feels called to hold, communicate, and implement the vision for youth ministry within the wider church vision. The role ensures that young people are welcomed, discipled, and supported as they grow in faith and connection to the church community. The Lead will be responsible for developing a culture of belonging, spiritual growth, and mission among the youth, equipping young people and volunteers for effective ministry.

  • 6 weeks of paid holiday, including six Sundays
  • Two further weeks of paid personal retreat and conference leave
  • Centre-based working with the opportunity for some home-based working by agreement

St Thomas' Church is situated in the centre of Lancaster, a historic city in the northwest of England. St Thomas' Church is at an exciting stage of life; we estimate around 400 adults and 150 under-18s are coming regularly to our weekly gatherings, with 40-50 students also attending, particularly at the 7pm service. As a charismatic, evangelical Anglican church, St Thomas' is committed to sharing God's love from the heart of the city.
