Youth and Families Team Lead (Youth Minister)
Location: St John\’s Church, Locks Heath, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom
Hours: Part time, 20 hours p/w
Salary: £14,040 per annum according to experience
Duration: Fixed term contract
Do you love Jesus and sense a call to be a leader within a team helping young people to know him too? If you love Jesus, love his Word, and love working with young people, this is an exciting opportunity for you! St John’s Locks Heath is a great family to be part of. We currently have around 25 young people (11-18s) registered with us, though on Sundays we would normally see around 8 across that age range. So, this is a ministry with foundations in place and ready to be developed!
WHO YOU ARE
A growing Christian (Genuine Occupational Requirement), with a passion to see Young People nurtured in faith and transformed by Jesus through the power of his Holy Spirit. Your character and faith are central to this role.
You will enjoy communicating with young people, children, and adults. You’ll be sufficiently organised to plan ahead, equip volunteers, and prepare material week by week. We also hope you’d be committed to joining our church family and worshipping with us.
Your Responsibilities:
- Join a growing youth work team
- Minister alongside a children’s minister colleague (currently being advertised) and interns
- Develop links with local secondary schools
- Develop the youth ministry within the church
- Help us to grow our Youth ministry spiritually and numerically
