This is more than a vacancy. It is an invitation into a story. We are looking for a leader who can help steward a new season of growth, governance clarity, community mission and spiritual renewal as we prepare for the next chapter in our church's journey.

For nearly 50 years, The Church at Junction 10 has served Walsall and the Black Country as a Pentecostal church within the Assemblies of God Great Britain. With a growing congregation of around 250 regular attendees, a committed team of staff and volunteers, and an ambitious vision for future ministry, we are passionate about Building a Community with Jesus at the Centre.

Building a Community with Jesus at the Centre

About the Opportunity

We are not simply looking for a preacher or traditional pastoral figure. We are seeking a leader who can bring together spiritual leadership, vision, people development, executive competence, community engagement and organisational leadership.

The successful candidate will lead a thriving multi-site church, working collaboratively with Trustees and Oversight while carrying genuine delegated authority to shape the future of the church and its mission.

The role includes;

  • Spiritual, executive, strategic and organisational leadership.
  • Leadership of a multi-site church.
  • Development of staff, ministry leaders and leadership pipelines.
  • Governance, safeguarding, financial stewardship and operational oversight.
  • Responsibility for shaping Sunday services and the wider ministry programme.
  • Representation of J10 within local, denominational and wider church networks.

This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Lead a worship-centred, Spirit-led congregation with deep roots in the local community.
  • Shape the future of a growing multi-site church across Darlaston and Alumwell.
  • Develop leaders and strengthen discipleship, evangelism and community impact.
  • Help oversee the next phase of the exciting Alumwell Resource Centre (ARC) project, a major development that will expand the church's capacity for worship, discipleship and community transformation.

Who We Are Looking For

You will be:

  • A practising Christian with a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Called and gifted to lead people spiritually, strategically and pastorally.
  • An excellent communicator, preacher and teacher.
  • Experienced in leading churches, ministries or significant teams.
  • Passionate about developing leaders and releasing others into ministry.
  • Comfortable leading organisational change while maintaining a Christ-centred culture.
  • Committed to Pentecostal theology and practice and able to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, staff, trustees and congregation members.

Why Join Us?

You will join a church that is:

  • Rooted in worship, prayer, Scripture and the Holy Spirit.
  • Committed to biblical discipleship and community transformation.
  • Entering an exciting new leadership season.
  • Investing in future growth through the ARC development.
  • Passionate about seeing Jesus known across Walsall, the Black Country and beyond.

As our next Senior Leader, you will have the opportunity to shape leadership structures, develop ministry teams, strengthen mission and help lead Junction 10 into its next season of growth and impact.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a church entering a significant growth and development phase
  • Lead across the continued development of multiple sites with strong foundations already in place
  • Work alongside committed Trustees and leadership teams
  • Shape the future direction and impact of a growing church community
  • A supportive church community and leadership team.
  • Opportunities for professional development.
  • Flexible working arrangements.

The Church at Junction 10 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Enhanced DBS required.

This post carries responsibility for spiritual leadership, preaching, teaching, pastoral ministry and safeguarding the Church's doctrinal position. Accordingly, the post is subject to a Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 that the post-holder be a practising Christian who is able to uphold and promote the Church's Statement of Faith.

Reasonable adjustments will be made throughout the recruitment process for applicants who require them.

We are a community of people from all walks of life who have one thing in common – we understand that Jesus makes a massive difference to us and our world today, and we’d like to invite you to join us.

For over three decades, we’ve been working to become the kind of church described in the Bible, a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need.
