Do you feel called to reach young people with the good news of the love of Jesus? Are you passionate about seeing young people come to faith and grow in the knowledge and love of God? We are looking for a prayerful committed Christian with a big heart for young people, a strong understanding of today's culture and the passion and vision to make a lasting difference through developing missional youth ministry here at St John's in Woodbridge.

St John's is a welcoming, Spirit filled, charismatic C of E church where young people sit at the heart of our vision. We believe God is doing something new here and we're looking for an inspirational Youth Minister to help shape, grow and lead youth ministry.

Here you'll:

  • Build relationships, using existing links and by creating new ones, within church, schools and the wider community
  • Develop creative, missional youth work that helps young people explore faith and grow as disciples
  • Lead and inspire a committed team of volunteers
  • Bring vision, energy and innovation to Sunday and midweek youth ministry

You'll be supported by a fantastic staff team, dedicated volunteers, great links with local organisations and schools, and a caring church family. There is budget and encouragement for your ongoing development and leadership growth.

  • Develop our missional engagement with young people (40% of the role)
  • Review, develop and support our Sunday and mid-week ministries (30% of the role)
  • Use their time to pray, dream and create fresh initiatives that will connect with young people in our community (30% of the role)
