St Paul’s Salisbury is a lively evangelical Anglican church at the heart of the city, passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus and pursuing Spirit-filled, transformative ministry. We are seeking a gifted and committed Children & Family Lead to lead and grow our ministry among children (0–11) and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the life of a thriving church, helping children come to know Jesus, grow as His disciples, and connect families into the life of the church.

The Role

  • Ensure our children’s ministry reflects the church’s vision and ethos, and lead its development and growth on Sundays and throughout the week.
  • Share the gospel creatively and clearly with children, helping them respond and grow in faith.
  • Build strong relationships with families - both within the church and in the wider community helping them to connect and belong.
  • Develop and lead a team of volunteer leaders and helpers.
  • Strengthen and expand our partnership with Sarum St Paul’s CofE Primary School.
  • Develop and grow our mid-week ARK Toddler and Parents Group.
  • Create pathways for discipleship and evangelism.

You will be part of a supportive and prayerful staff team, contributing to the wider mission and ministry of the church.

About You

  • Is a committed Christian with a clear and active faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Recognises the God-given potential in every child and nurtures them to grow confidently in their gifts.
  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of the Bible and Christian theology, with the ability to apply this understanding in teaching and ministry.
  • Has a passion for children’s evangelism and discipleship.
  • Has experience working with children (in church, school, or community settings).
  • Is relational, organised, and a good communicator.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and best practice.

Experience in school’s ministry or Church of England contexts would be an advantage.

About Us

St Paul’s Salisbury is a lively evangelical Anglican church at the heart of the city, passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus and pursuing Spirit-filled, transformative ministry. With a staff team of 9 and over 100 volunteers, we serve a wide community through church activities and outreach, including our Hope Centre and Community Hub. We are committed to supporting and developing our staff, and we prioritise prayer, worship, and team unity in all we do.

Hours: 35 hours per week (including Sundays and some evenings)

Pension: Employer contribution of 6.5%

Start Date: September 2026

DBS Check: Required
