Do you have a passion for God and His Word and a calling to serve Him as Pastor of our Church? With a heart for discipleship and a commitment to evangelism, you will have the desire to apply God’s Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to help our church grow, both numerically and in spiritual maturity, and reach our community for Jesus Christ.
About Us:
BEC is a warm and welcoming, independent Evangelical church in the small market town of Blandford Forum in Dorset, with a regular congregation of 80–120. We have a heart to reach our town and wider area with the Gospel, as well as supporting the work of a number of mission projects in the UK and overseas. We are members of the Evangelical Alliance and have good working relationships with the other churches in the town.

- Have a vision for growth and a heart to reach those outside the church.

- Demonstrate a vibrant, personal faith and commitment to following Jesus.
- Have a clear call to serve God by serving the Church in a ministry/leadership role, which will be reflected in the energy and enthusiasm they bring to the role.

- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Show creativity, adaptability, and a pro-active attitude.
- Demonstrate good organisational and leadership abilities.
- Work independently, show initiative when necessary, and perform well in a team environment.
- Agree with our vision and values.
- Theological training is preferred (eg. Bible College degree, Mission Organisation training, distance learning), though this is not mandatory, depending on experience. The successful applicant will be committed to life-long learning and growing in their ministry role. They will maintain a healthy, personal spiritual life through regular spiritual disciplines.
