St Andrew\’s Church, High Wycombe

A transforming presence for High Wycombe and beyond

Operations Manager

37.5 hours per week with some out of hours work required

We are looking for an Operations Manager to help us at this exciting time as we move forward in our vision to be God’s transforming presence for High Wycombe and beyond. St Andrew’s is a Resource Hub with the aim of planting new churches, revitalising existing churches and equipping and encouraging other local churches in our region. More than a building, a name or a weekend gathering, St Andrew’s is a community of people living together the adventure for which God has created us, growing as disciples who make disciples.

We will soon be opening a newly revitalised church building with a wonderful opportunity for the new Operations Manager to shape the way the church will better connect with and serve our local community.

We are looking for a strong, hands-on Operations Manager who will ensure that St Andrew’s day-to-day activity is in step with the church’s strategic vision. The successful applicant will be an excellent organiser and planner, with a high level of interpersonal communication skills and a proven ability to work at both a strategic and operational level. We are looking for someone who can catch the vision of the church and then be able to think strategically about what steps will be necessary to help us to achieve it. You will be good at innovation and change, driving for results and showing skills in problem solving and decision making.

Note: Due to the nature of the role and organisation, there is an Occupational Requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010 for the post holder to be a committed Christian.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The closing date for applications is Friday 24th January. Interviews will be held in person on w/c 10th February.

Informal inquiries can be made to Simon Dust (Lead Pastor) on 01494 529668 or simon.dust@standrewshw.co.uk

You can find more information and an application form on our website at www.standrewshw.co.uk/vacancies or email office@standrewshw.co.uk if you require further assistance.

St Andrew’s is an evangelical charismatic vibrant Anglican Church, with a vision to be God’s transforming presence at the heart of our community in High Wycombe. We are a part of the New Wine Network and a Resource Church in the Oxford Diocese with the aim of:

  1. church planting
  2. equipping and encouraging other local churches in our region

Our heart is to serve the least, the last and the lost as Jesus did. We do this through a wide range of community groups, courses, working in partnership with others across the town whenever we can. And we scatter as individual light bearers, as peacemakers, as joy-bringers, serving our town and communities wherever God sends us to be culture-setters, world changers and Jesus-followers.
