Description of Job
We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Waverley Abbey House. We dream of Waverley Abbey providing a world-class service in all areas of hospitality, centered around simple excellence. A 5-star experience that allows each guest to understand that they are important to us, and we are here to serve them with kindness and excellence in customer service and will feel in abundance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the cafe (indoor and outdoor), event dining and all catering areas ready for service.
- Serve meals and refreshments to a high standard of service, clear away and wash up.
- Assist with catering-related cleaning tasks.
What we are looking for
- 2+ years’ experience in a busy high-profile hospitality venue
- Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Sense of urgency

- Ability to multitask under pressure and show initiative
- Have a genuine passion for food and beverage
- Customer-oriented and service-minded as well as flexible and proactive
- Willing to work varying shifts across seven days to include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and both opening and closing shifts
