As part of the Events Team, you will play a crucial role in handling enquiries, managing bookings, and supporting event logistics. Whether responding to queries, overseeing volunteer coordination, or maintaining key administrative processes, your contributions will help create a welcoming and efficient festival experience. Roles and Responsibilities
- You will be part of a busy team delivering excellent customer service both in the run up to, during and after New Wine 2025 summer festival, and assisting in the organisation of this event.
- Performing daily customer service tasks, such as administering bookings and handling queries via phone and email.
- Triaging enquiries and assigning them to relevant staff on support ticket system (Zendesk).
- Support the running of the Info desk at New Wine Festival 2025 by assisting with delegate and team enquiries regarding bookings, payments and programming as part of the Info team.
- Using Festival Pro to manage and editing delegate bookings to change details, add or remove tickets and charge fees.
- Maintain friendly and polite customer service in both written and verbal communication to respond to queries and requests from delegates and volunteers.
- Update the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) database with commonly asked questions and responses.
- Update camping requests data relevant to Village Allocation from delegates and team volunteers, liaising with the Delegate Experience Team when necessary.
- Oversee and carry out pre-volunteering checks, including reviewing applications and checking references.
- Support in the recruitment and retention of volunteers, thinking innovatively about how to engage volunteers from all sections of the network with special regard to New Wine’s commitment to be ‘Younger and more Diverse’.
- Working closely with Volunteer Management Team to provide inductions and training for volunteers.
- Offer support and information to volunteers and external organisations through face‑to‑face, telephone and email contact.
- Supporting the Volunteer Management Team in the ordering and processing of team t-shirts and other necessary clothing and equipment such as hats, jackets and high‑vis vests.
- Maintain databases and undertake any other administrative duties.
