Christ Church Barnet is a large and vibrant Evangelical Charismatic church just inside the M25 in north London with a rich history. Our story began in 1845 with a group of people gripped by a love for Jesus and his transforming power in the lives of ordinary people. We still desire more of God’s kingdom in this area and beyond!

Aims & Objectives

One of our core values is to reach out in compassionate mission to our local community. In the past year we have recognised the need for a more focused approach to local outreach, releasing the gifts and evangelistic potential of our church family and using our resources more effectively including the Open Door Centre.

The main purpose of this new role is to make Jesus known through strategic community engagement, working with the church to pioneer new initiatives. The CDW will work with the Leadership Team to ensure a cohesive strategy by:

  • Identifying the needs and assets of the local community and addressing them.
  • Empowering the church to reach out with targeted and compassionate initiatives.
  • Building relationships with people in the community and leading them to faith.

The appointment of the CDW would provide leadership and direction for this initiative.
