St Mary’s is a vibrant and growing parish church in the Cotswolds, committed to “Living in God’s love, Living out God’s love.” We are deeply engaged with our community and work closely with The Branch Trust, a charity that grew out of the church’s mission to serve the local community. We are launching an exciting new Parish Nursing Ministry to reach out to those who are lonely, isolated, and in need of holistic care. This is a unique opportunity to combine your nursing expertise with your Christian faith, serving the people of Chipping Norton and surrounding villages.
The Role
- Develop and establish a new Parish Nursing ministry.
- Support the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of older adults.
- Deliver home visits and one-to-one support for those isolated or housebound.
- Partner with local health services, community groups, and churches.
- Provide advocacy and guidance to help people access the care they need.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers to grow the ministry’s reach.
- Receive training and professional development through Parish Nursing Ministries UK.
This is both a strategic and pastoral role – you’ll help shape a new ministry while also being a compassionate presence to those in need.
We are looking for someone who is:
- A Registered Nurse, Band 5 or 6 (current NMC registration required).
- A committed Christian, living out their faith in daily life.
- Experienced in community or elderly care, with a heart for the vulnerable.
- A pioneer with proven ability to start, shape, and grow new projects.
- A natural leader and team builder, with strong pastoral and interpersonal skills.
