Description of Job
We are seeking someone with relevant experience, a love for Jesus and a heart for young people, to help lead a long tradition of missional ministry among children, families and young people at St Oswald’s Church Sowerby and beyond.
St Oswald’s is a vibrant and growing church family made up of all ages. We seek to be Spirit-led, rooted in the Bible, and active in our community. Our vision is to Love God, Build Community, and Serve Sowerby, so that many more will come to know Jesus for themselves.
Could you be the person we\’re praying for?
Are you an energetic and motivated leader with excellent organisational and people skills? Can you be innovative and creative with a desire to see children, young people and their families engage with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and develop their own personal relationship with Jesus?
It is key that your passion for this role stems from your own Christian faith, with a sense of fun and engaging personality, who has a collaborative nature and is ready to lead, co-ordinate and build up our volunteer work base.
You will have responsibility for the oversight and running of a wide and varied programme of activities throughout the year, and from time to time may include resourcing and supporting other churches in the Southern area of Mowbray Deanery.
We are committed to your development as well as to this work. You will be part of prayerful, supportive and collaborative teams in theparish. We will offer appropriate supervision and seek to invest in you both personally and professionally.
