St Barnabas is a growing, charismatic evangelical Anglican church located near the centre of Cambridge, with a prominent position on Mill Road, one of Cambridge's most vibrant and diverse communities. We are passionate about worshipping God, teaching the Bible, and ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit. As a church, we are beginning a new season of mission and ministry: For Jesus, For Everyone, For Cambridge & beyond. We long to see lives transformed by Jesus, disciple‐making disciples raised up, and leaders equipped for God's mission in our city and beyond.

We're looking for an associate vicar who will work closely with our vicar and wider team, ideally over the next 5+ years, in leading St Barnabas into this next season. They will:

  • Share our values around worship, teaching and ministry in the power of the Spirit
  • Have and maintain a deep & vibrant walk with Jesus
  • Be wise & teachable; willing to risk & step out in faith in response to God's call; and who builds healthy teams & communities
  • Be hungry to see the Holy Spirit move in power throughout our church, in our city and beyond
  • Be proven as a teacher/preacher/communicator in different settings & contexts
  • Have a track record in evangelism, making disciples, and raising up leaders
  • Have some specific responsibilities including growing, developing and having oversight of our work with youth and younger adults (11-30s including students)
