Job Description
The Café at Christ Church Woking is a unique and welcoming space. As the first independent coffee shop in Woking, it has built a reputation over the past 30 years as a place of warmth and compassion. After extensive refurbishment, we are excited to reopen this space to serve the community.
We are seeking a passionate Café Manager to relaunch and manage The Café as part of Christ Church Woking\’s outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, develop, and lead a close-knit café team
- Bring experience from a café or hospitality environment
- Develop and implement a successful business strategy and manage budgets
- Maintain excellent communication and customer service skills
- Stay calm and effective under pressure
- Be flexible, resourceful, and decisive
- Create a warm, friendly atmosphere for staff and customers
- Signpost appropriately for pastoral support if needed
- Share our faith and support our wider mission
