New Way Tuition Ltd is recruiting passionate outreach tutors to support students receiving alternative provision through engaging, tailored 1:1 sessions.

As an Outreach Tutor, you will work with students from EYFS to Year 11 with a range of needs, including SEN and SEMH. Sessions take place in homes, libraries, or school settings depending on the learner's circumstances.

You will deliver personalised sessions in:

  • English
  • Maths
  • PSHE
  • Mentoring and engagement support

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver personalised learning sessions
  • Support students with a range of SEN and behavioural needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with learners and families
  • Keep clear session notes and progress reports
  • Maintain safeguarding and professional standards at all times

What You Need

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable, not essential)
  • Experience as a TA, LSA, HLTA, mentor, youth worker, unqualified tutor, or in alternative provision/1:1 settings
  • Strong subject knowledge in English and/or Maths
  • Experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Confidence working independently and adapting lessons for diverse learners
