The Role
As Home Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care while maintaining commercial performance and regulatory excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visible leadership across all areas of the home
- Ensure outstanding person-centred care is delivered consistently
- Drive compliance in line with CQC standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead, develop, and inspire multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain high occupancy levels and manage budgets effectively
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and external stakeholders
- Oversee recruitment, retention, and staff development initiatives
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, compassion, and continuous improvement
- Manage safeguarding, clinical governance, and risk management processes
- Deliver strong operational performance alongside exceptional resident outcomes
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Home Manager within elderly residential or nursing care
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance standards
- Demonstrable leadership and team management experience
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and occupancy
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
