An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join a specialist forensic care service in London. This role is ideal for a dedicated senior support professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a structured and therapeutic environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading frontline teams, promoting positive outcomes for individuals with complex mental health and forensic support needs, and ensuring the service operates in line with regulatory and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a team of care staff within a forensic setting
  • Promote a safe, structured, and recovery-focused environment
  • Support service users with complex mental health, behavioural, and forensic needs
  • Complete and oversee risk assessments, incident reporting, and care documentation
  • Conduct staff supervisions, spot checks, and shift leadership duties
  • Support medication management processes in line with policy and legislation
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals, families, and external agencies
  • Promote safeguarding, dignity, equality, and person-centred care at all times
  • Assist with rota management, shift coordination, and staff deployment
  • Support new staff inductions, mentoring, and ongoing development
  • Maintain compliance with CQC standards, policies, and best practice guidelines
  • De-escalate challenging situations professionally and calmly
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within forensic, mental health, supported living, or complex care services
  • Experience leading or supervising care teams
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and person-centred care
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or above desirable
