An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse Qualified Operations Manager to join a respected and values led care organisation supporting individuals with complex needs across a portfolio of high quality services throughout Essex. This is a senior operational leadership role for a compassionate, commercially minded professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes, driving continuous improvement, and supporting teams to achieve excellence.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will provide operational oversight across multiple services, ensuring regulatory compliance, strong performance, workforce engagement, and consistently high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational leadership across a portfolio of care services, ensuring safe, effective, and person centred support.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Support, coach, and develop Registered Managers and leadership teams to maximise performance and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, legislation, and organisational policies.
  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics including occupancy, quality, staffing, compliance, and financial performance.
  • Implement operational plans that support service stability, growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets effectively, identifying efficiencies whilst maintaining high quality care delivery.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with commissioners, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Support service development, mobilisation projects, and operational growth initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
About You
  • Proven operational management experience within health and social care.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple services and leading high performing teams.
  • Demonstrable success in improving quality, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Commercial awareness with strong budget management experience.
  • Motivational leadership style with a passion for developing others.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for people receiving care and support.
  • Must be a RGN.
