We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care provider seeking a compassionate and motivated

Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day leadership of a high-quality elderly care service.

The Role

Supporting the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining exceptional standards of care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence while creating a warm, welcoming environment for both residents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the service.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the care team through effective coaching, supervision and mentoring.
  • Promote a culture of compassionate, person-centred care that enhances residents' wellbeing and independence.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of care, documentation, medication management and risk assessments.
  • Assist with recruitment, induction, training and ongoing staff development.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
  • Support occupancy, quality assurance and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Act as Manager in the Registered Manager's absence, ensuring the smooth and safe running of the service.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a senior leadership role in an elderly care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and person-centred care practices.
  • A positive, approachable and compassionate leadership style.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification as a minimum (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards).
  • Passionate about achieving outstanding outcomes for residents and supporting colleagues to succeed.
