The Opportunity

New Way Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established care provider in the search for an experienced

Registered Manager to lead a specialist residential care service in Newport.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, compassionate and values-driven care professional who is ready to take ownership of a service, inspire a dedicated team and ensure the highest possible standards of care, safeguarding and quality.

We are looking for a confident leader with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and a proven track record of managing within a regulated care environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the service.
  • Provide strong, compassionate leadership to the care and support team.
  • Ensure high standards of person-centred care, dignity, respect and safeguarding.
  • Maintain full compliance with relevant Welsh legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Lead the service through inspections, audits and quality assurance processes.
  • Develop, implement and monitor care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of care delivery, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, induct, supervise, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Manage staff performance, training and development to ensure consistently high standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, professionals and external stakeholders.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas and resources effectively to support safe service delivery.
  • Monitor budgets and operational performance, ensuring resources are used responsibly.
  • Investigate and respond appropriately to complaints, incidents and safeguarding concerns.
  • Promote a positive culture where residents are listened to, valued and supported to achieve their individual goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all required documentation is completed to a high standard.

About You

You will be an experienced

Registered Manager or an established Deputy Manager ready to take the next step, with strong knowledge of regulated care and the confidence to lead a service.

You will ideally have

  • A proven track record of managing a regulated care service.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience leading, managing and developing care teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
  • A genuine commitment to person-centred care and improving outcomes for those supported.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with families, professionals and wider stakeholders.
  • A resilient, proactive and solutions-focused approach to leadership.
  • A relevant Level 4/5 qualification in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards one.
  • The ability to demonstrate strong leadership, accountability and commercial awareness.
