An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-focused Medication Compliance Auditor to join a well-established and values-led care organisation operating across the UK. This role is ideally suited to a senior care professional with extensive care home experience and a strong background in medication auditing, governance, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medication audits across residential, nursing, and specialist care services nationally.
  • Review medication administration processes, MAR charts, stock control, storage procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Identify areas of risk and provide clear action plans and practical recommendations for improvement.
  • Support Home Managers and senior leadership teams with medication governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Deliver guidance, coaching, and support to care teams around medication best practice.
  • Monitor trends, produce detailed audit reports, and elevate concerns where necessary.
  • Ensure services remain compliant with CQC regulations, internal policies, and current legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with operational and clinical teams to drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for residents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within elderly care, nursing homes, or complex care settings.
  • Proven experience carrying out medication audits within care home environments.
  • Strong understanding of medication management, governance, and compliance standards.
  • Experience supporting services through inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
