This role is ideally suited to a senior care professional with extensive care home experience and a strong background in medication auditing, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive medication audits across residential, nursing, and specialist care services nationally.
- Review medication administration processes, MAR charts, stock control, storage procedures, and compliance standards.
- Identify areas of risk and provide clear action plans and practical recommendations for improvement.
- Support Home Managers and senior leadership teams with medication governance and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver guidance, coaching, and support to care teams around medication best practice.
- Monitor trends, produce detailed audit reports, and elevate concerns where necessary.
- Ensure services remain compliant with CQC regulations, internal policies, and current legislation.
- Work collaboratively with operational and clinical teams to drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for residents.
- Previous experience working within elderly care, nursing homes, or complex care settings.
- Proven experience carrying out medication audits within care home environments.
- Strong understanding of medication management, governance, and compliance standards.
- Experience supporting services through inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to travel nationally as required.
