Home Manager to join the service on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care or healthcare leader who can step into a senior management position immediately

, provide stability and leadership, and ensure the service continues to deliver high standards of care.

We are looking for someone who is confident managing a service, leading a team and taking ownership of day-to-day operations.

You do not need to be an RGN or RMN for this position

— we are open to experienced Home Managers from a strong care or healthcare management background.

The Role

As Interim Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, providing strong leadership to the team and ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service.
  • Providing strong, visible leadership to the management and care teams.
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of care and service delivery.
  • Leading, motivating and supporting the wider team.
  • Managing staffing, rotas, performance and workforce requirements.
  • Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and records are maintained to a high standard.
  • Overseeing safeguarding, medication, health and safety and quality processes.
  • Monitoring compliance and ensuring regulatory standards are maintained.
  • Working closely with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Managing incidents, complaints and safeguarding matters appropriately.
  • Supporting audits, inspections and continuous improvement activity.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and putting effective action plans in place.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, staff and external professionals.
  • Providing stability and direction during the interim period.
  • Taking a hands-on and proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.

About You

We are looking for an experienced

Home Manager or senior care/healthcare manager who is confident taking responsibility for a service and can make an immediate impact.

You will ideally have

  • Previous experience as a

Home Manager, Registered Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager or similar senior position

  • Strong experience managing a care, healthcare, rehabilitation or similar service.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams.
  • A good understanding of care quality, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong operational and people-management skills.
  • The confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to quickly understand a service and identify priorities.
  • Experience working in a regulated care or healthcare environment.
