New Way Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established care provider in the appointment of a Deputy Nursing Home Manager in Chorley.
This is an opportunity for an experienced care professional to step into a key leadership position within a high-quality nursing environment, supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the service and helping to ensure residents receive exceptional, person-centred care.
We are looking for someone who combines strong leadership, sound operational judgement and genuine compassion . You will be a visible and supportive presence within the home, leading from the front and helping to create an environment where residents feel safe, respected and valued, while staff feel supported to deliver their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the home.
- Provide strong, visible leadership to the care and nursing teams, promoting a positive and accountable culture.
- Maintain consistently high standards of resident care, dignity, safeguarding and wellbeing.
- Support the delivery of person-centred care plans, assessments, reviews and clinical documentation.
- Assist with the management of staffing, including rotas, supervision, performance management and staff development.
- Monitor care quality, identify areas for improvement and support the implementation of effective action plans.
- Ensure the service operates in line with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, policies and best practice.
- Support preparation for inspections and maintain high standards of compliance and governance.
- Work collaboratively with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- Support medication management, clinical governance and risk management processes where appropriate.
- Assist with investigations, incidents, complaints and safeguarding matters, ensuring these are handled professionally and compassionately.
- Promote continuous learning and development across the team.
- Act as a senior point of contact in the Registered Manager’s absence, providing stability and leadership across the service.
About You
You may already be working as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Deputy Nursing Home Manager, Senior Nurse or experienced senior care professional looking for your next step.
You will ideally have:
- Previous leadership or management experience within a nursing or residential care environment.
- Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding and care standards.
- The confidence to lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary care team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of person-centred care and clinical governance.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and decisive in a demanding environment.
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes and quality of life for residents.
- Competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 .
