We are seeking an accomplished

Interim Care Consultant to work across a portfolio of adult social care services nationwide.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments and is passionate about raising standards, improving quality, and supporting services through periods of change and development.

This role requires regular national travel and overnight stays.

The Role

As an Interim Care Consultant, you will work closely with senior leadership teams, registered managers, and frontline colleagues to support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, service improvement, and positive outcomes for the people supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide interim operational support across residential, nursing, supported living, and specialist care services.
  • Lead and support service improvement initiatives to enhance quality, compliance, and performance.
  • Conduct audits, quality assurance reviews, and compliance assessments.
  • Support services preparing for regulatory inspections and action plans.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement sustainable solutions that improve care outcomes.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Registered Managers and senior leadership teams.
  • Assist with turnaround projects, occupancy improvement strategies, and operational recovery plans.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and support services in achieving operational targets.
  • Promote person‑centred care, safeguarding excellence, and best practice across all services.
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders, professionals, commissioners, and internal teams.
  • Produce detailed reports, recommendations, and improvement plans for senior leadership.
  • Travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays where required.

About You

  • Proven senior management experience within the adult social care sector.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, quality frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting service improvements, operational change, or turnaround projects.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confident analysing performance data and implementing effective action plans.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding care and improving outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
  • Flexible and willing to travel nationally with regular overnight stays.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
