This is an excellent opportunity to move beyond traditional paralegal or secretarial duties into a fee-earning position, taking ownership of probate matters while working closely with experienced lawyers in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the administration of estates from instruction through to completion
- Preparing probate applications and associated legal documentation
- Maintaining accurate estate accounts and financial records
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties daily
- Assisting with the collection and distribution of estate assets
- Supporting the preparation of inheritance tax returns
- Providing regular updates to senior fee earners and partners
- Ensuring high standards of client care and regulatory compliance
- Supporting business development activities and attending relevant events
About You
- Previous experience within Private Client
- Currently working as a Paralegal/Secretarial or in a similar role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional and empathetic approach to clients
- Able to manage sensitive matters with discretion and integrity
- Law degree, CILEX qualification, or equivalent experience preferred
