Inspire young people to encounter Jesus and discover their calling. City Church Newcastle is a vibrant, diverse, and growing community. We are seeking a Youth Ministry Lead who will passionately reach young people with the gospel and walk with them as they grow in faith, confidence, and purpose.
About the Role
- Provide visionary leadership across Comets (Years 5–8) and City Youth (Years 9–13)
- Lead weekly youth gatherings that are biblical, fun, welcoming, and Spirit‑led
- Disciple and pastor young people through teaching, care, and mission
- Recruit, train, and invest in volunteer youth leaders
- Lead the church’s involvement in Newday, including coordination and delivery
- Build partnerships with schools and organisations to extend mission across the region
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Is a spiritually mature Christian with a heart for young people
- Has experience working with 11–18s and teaching the Bible engagingly
- Can lead teams with warmth, clarity, and vision
- Is missional, relational, and expectant of what God can do
- Thrives as part of a collaborative staff team
Key Details
- Hours: 17.5 hours per week (2.5 days, including Tuesday mornings, Sundays, and Thursday evenings)
- Salary: £27,000–£32,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)
