Café Manager (full time)

Salary £32,000–£35,000, depending on experience.

The Café at Christ Church Woking is not an ordinary café.

It was the first independent coffee shop in Woking and over the last 30 years it has become known as a place of welcome and compassion.

This newly refurbished and recently reopened café is now seeking to once again cement its place as the loving, welcoming space for the people of Woking to enjoy.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Manage, develop, and work within a close‑knit café team.
  • Have experience of working in café management or a hospitality environment.
  • Understand and enjoy the challenges of running a customer‑focused café, and be able to develop and implement a successful business strategy and manage budgets.
  • Have great communication and people skills, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Be flexible, resourceful, and decisive.
  • Create and maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere for both staff and customers, and signpost appropriately for pastoral support if the need arises.
  • Share the café’s faith and embrace and celebrate the wider mission.
