Are you passionate about transforming young lives where mental health meets faith? We're looking for a Pillar Lead to deliver and grow The Pillar in Totton, a pioneering project that brings together evidence-based mental health support and a relationship with Jesus for 11–18s. We are delighted to advertise the role of Pillar Lead to continue the work of this innovative project.

This ministry is based out of St. Wins in Totton and is part of a broader project, The Pillar. This role is offered as a part-time 2.5 days per week (19 hours), 1 year fixed-term contract at a full-time equivalent salary of £27,000 per annum (pro-rated). The working days will be Tuesday morning, Thursdays, Sundays. With some shared time on Tuesday and Sunday mornings, this 2.5 day role can be combined with our Youth Lead role to create a single full-time, 5-day position for the right candidate. If you have the skills and heart for both, we'd love to hear from you!

The Pillar is a Christian mental health charity that equips churches to play their part in supporting the mental health of young people aged 11 to 18. We combine evidence-based mental health support with the hope of Jesus, creating safe, welcoming spaces where young people can find peace, hope and freedom. Our work is delivered by Christians who are trained and with experience of mental health and working with young people. Through our Pillar Spaces, training, resources and partnerships, we are helping churches become places where no young person has to struggle alone.

Working as part of the St Win's Church staff team and the wider Pillar team, the Pillar Lead will lead and develop The Pillar at St Win's Church. This includes overseeing The Pillar Space, delivering The Pillar of Practical Skills, supporting Alpha Youth alongside the Youth Pastor, and helping young people access appropriate opportunities to explore their faith.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people, leading teams and building strong relationships with volunteers, churches, schools, families and local professionals. They will be passionate about supporting young people's mental health and excited by the opportunity to help grow an innovative and impactful ministry. Working closely with the Pillar CEO, the St Win's staff team and the wider Pillar team, they will help shape the future of The Pillar, ensuring its work reflects our vision, values and commitment to providing high-quality mental health support for young people.
