We are keen to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our growing team to manage, maintain and develop the production and technical side of our church.

St Barnabas is a fast growing, forward looking church and the right applicant will ensure the smooth running technically of our services, set up and run live streaming, plan and manage production required for events as well as any other production needs.

As a church we are always looking for new and exciting ways to make church relevant and accessible and as such we would be looking for someone who could use their knowledge and skills to improve the processes we already have and instigate new ideas.

This is a part time post of 21 hours a week - some of which relates to Sunday and some of which will be worked flexibly

  • Core Responsibilities
  • To oversee the provision of all production related activities for Sunday services, special events, Easter, Christmas etc
  • Manage and maintain the PA/AV systems including Midas M32 sound desk/Pro Presenter system/live streaming set up
  • To liaise with and provide technical support to the Worship Leaders and teams
  • To produce weekly video notices
  • To produce promotional videos as required for events and other related activity
  • To identify, train and lead a team of volunteers to assist in all areas of AV
  • Liaise with Ministry staff and event/meeting organisers to ensure appropriate arrangements and set up, including any PA and lighting requirements and other technical support.
  • Maintain stage/theatre lighting
  • To record and upload talks and post-production of live stream
  • Manage specific licences, e. g. CCLI, and complete the necessary reports
  • Attend service planning meetings

Person Specification

  • You will have experience working in a commercial or church environment working with artists/bands and producing live music events
  • You will be confident mixing live and building audio presets and scenes for volunteers to use
  • Good leadership skills, able to draw together, develop, lead, manage and train teams
  • Confident in setting up, testing and operating all necessary production equipment.
  • Experience building services on Pro Presenter
  • Experience in live streaming and You Tube
  • Good organisational and administrative skills, able to coordinate others
  • The ability to manage and prioritise tasks
  • Good people skills, with an aptitude for relationship building
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • A sense of humour
  • There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian.

The post holder would be required to participate in weekly team worship, lead team devotionals, pray with members of staff etc.
