We are seeking a passionate and Jesus‑centred Kids Ministry Lead & Safeguarding Coordinator to help create vibrant, faith‑filled environments where children feel safe, known and excited to grow in their relationship with Jesus. This is a key role within the life of City Church Newcastle, combining visionary children’s ministry leadership with strong safeguarding oversight, ensuring that every child flourishes in a culture of care, joy, and spiritual growth.
About The Role
- Lead and develop our children’s ministry (ages 0–9), shaping engaging, Bible‑based Sunday programmes.
- Build, support & inspire volunteer teams, fostering a healthy, joyful ministry culture.
- Plan and deliver key children’s events (e.g. holiday clubs, family services).
- Act as the church’s Safeguarding Co‑ordinator, ensuring best practice, training, and compliance.
- Be a visible, collaborative presence within staff life and Sunday gatherings.

- Has experience working with children and leading teams.
- Can teach the Bible clearly and engagingly.
- Is organised, relational, and confident taking responsibility.

KEY DETAILS
- Hours: 17.5 hours per week (2.5 days, including Tuesday mornings and Sundays).
- Salary: £27,000–£32,000 pro rata (dependent on experience).
