We are looking for Registered Paediatric Nurses (x 2) to join our Paediatric Bank Team at New Victoria Hospital. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, act as an advocate for children and their families, and be committed to delivering the highest standards of paediatric care. A minimum of 2 years’ recent post‑registration paediatric nursing experience is essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To hold NMC Registration – RN (Child Branch)
  • To manage the nursing care of paediatric patients in accordance with the policies of New Victoria Hospital, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people
  • To provide specialist nursing support within paediatric outpatient and inpatient settings
  • To demonstrate excellent communication skills and work effectively under pressure
  • To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care programmes
  • To act as an advocate for the child and family in all aspects of care
  • To promote and implement the requirements of the Hospital and its Clinical Governance framework
  • To maintain clinical competence and commit to ongoing professional development

Knowledge

  • Paediatric Intermediate Life Support (PILS)
  • Teaching and mentoring skills (desirable)
  • Basic computer skills (desirable)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years post‑registration paediatric experience
  • Mentoring experience (desirable)
  • Surgical paediatric experience (desirable)
