Our client is one of the country's leading social purpose organisations, with a large mobile workforce delivering critical services across the UK. They are seeking an experienced IT and Technology leader to join them in driving forward their future strategy, which is underpinned by the development of technology and data, to improve the lives of their many service users.

This is a critical role in a highly regarded non-profit organisation, which will join the wider leadership team in delivering their ambitious plans for the organisation's growth and impact. There is huge scope for a wide range of really exciting innovation and development across the organisation, making this role ideal for a leader who has already been on a similar journey, and can bring their experience into this role.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Create a forward looking IT strategy that enables the organisation to deliver outstanding outcomes for service users, aligned to commercial objectives.
  • Develop the core technology base to support over 7,000 colleagues.
  • Drive forward a program of change and provide leadership as the key technology figurehead, ultimately improving the end-user experience.
  • Develop and lead a team of c.60 colleagues with the right skill mix to achieve future objectives, inline with the organisation's important culture and values based proposition.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team, building relationships with senior leaders and trustees.
About You:

Your experience should include leadership of a large, diverse IT department in a critical operational environment. Within this context you will have led significant change and innovation, and be able to demonstrate how you have delivered this successfully. You must be adept at managing operational and project budgets, third-party suppliers and contracts. You will possess expert knowledge and experience around IT security and regulations and a track record of using technology and data to drive productivity and operational improvement. Of greatest importance is the need for exceptionally strong people leadership skills, with a value based approach that is highly aligned to our client's culture.

For an experienced corporate leader, this could be an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the Non Profit sector, as our client is open to sector background, but candidates must be able to demonstrate their motivation to make a difference and be able to operate successfully in their dynamic, progressive and collaborative culture.

This role can be based remotely, but regular weekly travel to collaborate with colleagues in London and the South East will be required, and some travel across the UK should be expected.
