My client, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Automation Expert to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of their automated warehouse systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of warehouse operations, automation technologies, and project management principles. This role will be crucial in driving efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall warehouse performance through the strategic deployment of cutting-edge automation solutions.
- Automation Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive warehouse automation strategy aligned with business goals. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for potential automation projects. Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and industry trends.
- System Design & Implementation: Design and specify automated warehouse systems, including robotics, conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and warehouse management systems (WMS). Manage the selection and integration of automation equipment and software. Oversee the installation and commissioning of automated systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Optimisation & Performance Management: Monitor and analyse warehouse automation performance, identifying areas for improvement. Implement data-driven solutions to improve warehouse flow and reduce operational costs.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to execute automation projects from concept to completion. Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, IT, engineering) and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
