Site Director

Part of a FTSE-listed International Group, our client is a market-leading manufacturer of engineered products to the global aerospace sector across civil and military platforms. This local business unit, which is profitable based on annual revenues of circa £65m, supplies technically complex products into a wide range of programmes on behalf of the OEMs and their supply chain partners. We are seeking a high calibre general manager to lead the site in the next stage of its growth and development.

This role, which has full P&L ownership, will have responsibility for growing top and bottom-line performance at a local level whilst interfacing with global programme teams to ensure delivery in line with multi-product customer programmes. The emphasis of this role is on leveraging the full capability of the local business unit, accessing new customer opportunities whilst continuing to promote a culture of continuous improvement across a site employing circa 350 people.

Ideal candidates will have proven full P&L experience gained as a Site Director/General Manager/Managing Director (or equivalent) in a medium volume manufacturing business supplying engineered/technically complex products. Whilst candidates are likely to have progressed through operations during their early career, commercial acumen and credibility are key requirements for this role. Experience gained in a programme-led environment would be useful and candidates will need to be comfortable worknig collaboratively in a heavily matrixed group structure.
