We're supporting a UK‐based financial services organisation as it strengthens its operational risk function.
Operational Risk & Assurance Director
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for how operational risk is identified, assessed and managed across the business. The role owns the operational risk framework, oversees assurance activity, and works closely with senior management on risk events, controls and regulatory expectations. This is not a maintenance role. The focus is on practical judgement, clear thinking and building a strong risk culture in a growing, regulated environment. The Director will also lead and develop the wider operational risk team.
Contract: Permanent (interim candidates also considered)
Location: London – expected in the office once or twice per week
Additional hires: Alongside this role, the organisation is also hiring two Operational Risk Managers, each budgeted at around £75k, to support the build‐out of the risk team. These roles suit experienced operational risk professionals from regulated financial services who value responsibility, visibility and straightforward working relationships.
