Interim Financial Controller | Greater Manchester (Hybrid) Our client is a sizeable consumer-focused business going through a significant period of transformation. Alongside leading a large finance function, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a major ERP implementation, strengthening financial controls and ensuring the business is well-positioned for its next stage of growth. They need a hands-on Interim Financial Controller who can quickly establish credibility, lead from the front and deliver meaningful impact. What you'll do Take ownership of all aspects of the financial control function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the business Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes Manage statutory accounts preparation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and balance sheet control Strengthen financial controls, processes and governance frameworks across the organisation Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the annual audit process from planning through to completion Work closely with external tax advisors and consultants to ensure compliance across corporate tax, VAT and other tax matters Lead, coach and develop a finance team of approximately 50 people across multiple disciplines Partner with senior stakeholders to provide insight, challenge and support commercial decision-making Identify and deliver process improvements that drive efficiency and scalability ERP
