A high‑growth organisation is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to accelerate how data science drives product, commercial, risk, and operational decision‑making. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining deep analysis, experimentation, and advanced machine learning to deliver real business impact.
The position offers a salary up to £80,000 and a hybrid model of three days per week in a central London office.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Leading end‑to‑end data science projects: problem framing, exploratory analysis, modelling, experimentation, and partnering with engineering on deployment.
- Applying statistics, A/B testing and causal inference to guide product and commercial decisions.
- Building advanced solutions including recommendation systems, NLP, ensemble methods, time‑series forecasting, predictive analytics, and early generative AI.
- Exploring large‑scale structured and unstructured datasets across client, operational and financial domains.
- Mentoring junior data scientists and raising analytical and modelling standards.
- Strong experience applying machine learning and data science techniques to real business problems.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern cloud environments (ideally GCP / BigQuery).
- Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in a fast‑moving environment where experimentation is key.
- Bonus: Experience in a fast‑growing, hyper‑scaling FinTech environment.
