We are supporting a UK‑regulated bank with the appointment of an Interim Chief Risk Officer (SMF4) for an initial six‑month mandate, starting March. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned CRO who thrives in a smaller banking environment—someone who brings a calm, steady presence and can help uplift and embed proportionate, best‑in‑class risk management across the organisation. The mandate requires both strategic leadership and pragmatic, hands‑on execution.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chief Risk Officer
- Must have previously held SMF4
- Ideally experienced within a smaller, foreign‑owned bank with a London branch
- Ability to assess, strengthen, and operationalise risk frameworks in a practical, right‑sized way
- Availability to start in March
