A well-established, privately owned residential main contractor are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a £20m+ residential development and other new build developments that they have in the pipeline and ongoing. This is a long-term, site-based opportunity offering exposure to a full project lifecycle on a large scheme, rather than being restricted to a small package as is often the case within a PLC environment. You’ll work closely with the commercial team to deliver successful new build schemes for housing associations and their own developments. They are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has the ability to run the commercials of a project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Commercial Manager and SQS with day-to-day commercial duties
- Procurement of subcontractor packages
- Preparation of valuations, cost reports, and forecasts
- CVRs
- Assisting with variation management and change control
- Attending site and commercial meetings
Requirements
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or housebuilding
- Main contractor experience essential
- Good communication, organisational, and numerical skills
- Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress
