THE ROLE My client, a small, growing firm of PQS seeks a QUANTITY SURVEYOR who is either working towards taking the APC or who is recently chartered to join them in OXFORDSHIRE. They work on a good range of projects which includes offices, high end residential, schools, churches and a small amount of healthcare projects.

THE COMPANY My client is a smallish busy firm of PQS based in Oxfordshire.

THE CANDIDATE You will be a Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK firm of PQS. My client would like someone who is either almost chartered i.e. working towards taking the APC or who is recently chartered with the RICS. Good support to complete the APC if not already chartered. You should have good experience of both pre and post contract work including good experience of contract administration. You should be able to take ownership of some live projects from throughout the project right through to handover and completion. Some experience of doing cost plans, tender documentation and undertaking tender analysis. You need some experience of managing contractor procurement and providing recommendations to the client. You will need to have a recognised UK qualification in Quantity Surveying i.e. BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar and have around 2 plus years experience working for a PQS firm. You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people.
