The role involves joining a global construction consultancy as a Senior Project Planner in their expanding Infrastructure team. You will work with project leaders to provide a high-quality planning service, helping teams deliver complex programmes safely, predictably, and efficiently. Key responsibilities and duties:
- Lead, coach and develop planners to shape the next generation of talent.
- Analyse construction programmes end-to-end to identify the safest and most effective delivery approach.
- Build trust with stakeholders, including supply chain partners and subcontractors, so plans are understood and followed.
- Manage programmes to deliver commitments on time, on budget, and to the right standards.
- Report on productivity and progress using site insight and data to keep forecasts accurate.

- Significant experience delivering planning services, ideally within construction.
- Strong knowledge of planning methods, techniques, and tools.
- Ability to interpret tender documents, contracts, and specifications.
- Understanding of planning, programming, and progress monitoring approaches.
- A collaborative mindset, enjoying working with people and building strong teams.
- An ability to build relationships and influence teams to deliver what’s needed.
- Calm under pressure when priorities shift and plans change.
- Several years’ experience as a planner on projects typically valued at £20m+.
- Experience planning infrastructure projects in a live operational environment.
- Experience with quantity take-offs, statistical analysis, and computer operations.
- Confidence working with mathematical and financial reports.
- Understanding of NEC contract forms.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree, postgraduate qualification, or equivalent experience in a construction- or business-related field.
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
