A well-established, privately owned main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a main contractor background to be part of a team on a large £40m+ residential development near Maidstone, Kent. This is a long-term role (2+ years) offering genuine site ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to deliver a flagship project outside of a PLC environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full day-to-day management on a large residential site
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating all trades
- Driving programme, quality, and health & safety performance
- Overseeing all construction phases through to completion
- Maintaining site paperwork including RAMS, permits, inspections, and daily records
- Producing accurate progress reports for senior management
- Managing quality control
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential or mixed-use projects
- Main contractor background is essential
- Experience working on large-scale schemes
- Strong technical knowledge and a hands-on approach
- Excellent paperwork, reporting, and organisational skills
- Confident managing subcontractors and running a site autonomously
Qualifications
- SMSTS
- CSCS (Black or Gold preferred)
