We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven leader to join our Adult Social Care team as Service Manager - Regulated Services and CQC Oversight. This is a pivotal role where you will lead on the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant adult social care services across the Wakefield District. You will act as the Lead Professional Officer for CQC-related operational matters, ensuring services meet regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement and innovation. Working closely with senior leaders, partners, and providers, you will shape and influence service delivery to ensure it is outcome-focused, person-centred, and aligned to both local and national priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on CQC compliance and quality assurance across all Adult Social Care provision (in-house and commissioned)
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure services meet statutory and regulatory requirements
- Manage and support Registered Managers and service teams, promoting a high-performance culture
- Drive service transformation and continuous improvement aligned with national policy and local priorities
- Oversee performance, governance, and service standards, ensuring excellence across provision
- Lead multi-agency partnerships, influencing and collaborating with stakeholders across health and social care
- Support workforce development, staff engagement, and organisational change

Essential Requirements
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
- Significant senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care
- Strong knowledge of Care Act legislation and CQC regulations
- Proven experience managing CQC-registered services safely and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-agency partnerships and complex programmes
- Excellent communication, influencing, and strategic thinking skills
- Strong background in performance management, quality assurance, and service improvement
