We are looking to recruit a well‑organised, self‑motivated Housing Needs Panel Co‑ordinator to work as part of our busy Housing Needs Panel Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process applications for additional priority on the housing register from a range of applicants, including those with disabilities, complex needs, and those living in supported housing, hospital and rehabilitation settings.
- Liaise with other services within the Council and external agencies to gather crucial information to support applications.
- Maintain excellent communication skills and coordinate multi‑agency meetings, take detailed minutes, produce reports, statistical information, and letters while meeting deadlines.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to manage applicants presenting in very difficult and stressful situations, providing support and advice to resolve housing difficulties.
- Manage a range of behaviours that can be challenging while remaining focussed on achieving the best possible outcome for the household.
