Assertive Outreach Officer
Location: Sutton-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 per annum (pay award pending)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Options Team as an Assertive Outreach Officer, working proactively with households who are homeless or facing urgent housing need.
Responsibilities:
- Identify support needs and tackle barriers to housing for individuals and families.
- Develop tailored action plans in partnership with service users and agencies such as social care, health services, and voluntary sector organisations.
- Provide hands‑on support throughout the housing journey, from searching for accommodation and attending viewings to helping users understand tenancy responsibilities.
- Build strong relationships with landlords, support providers, and internal teams to find creative solutions to complex situations.
- Maintain accurate case records, monitor outcomes, and contribute to service improvement through reporting and partnership forums.
- Deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused services with a proactive and flexible approach.
Qualifications:
- Strong relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working with people experiencing homelessness or urgent housing needs is desirable.
- Knowledge of housing and social care systems beneficial.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
