The Role

This summer internship with the tourism team will contribute towards promoting our visitor offer including our what’s on guide of events, festivals and gigs, local attractions to visit, activities for the summer holidays and more. The role is flexible working across various locations in Grimsby and Cleethorpes to cover a variety of activities such as:

  • Contributing to our social media platforms through content creation using photography, video and designing simple visuals.
  • Copywriting including drafting blog posts, newsletter articles and marketing copy.
  • Researching and contributing to our events listings for our website and social media platforms.
  • Creating a summer-focused itinerary for visitors.
  • Analysis of data from tourism statistics and reports.
  • Reviewing our tourism SWOT analysis and horizon scanning.

About You

We’re looking for someone with an interest in the tourism and visitor economy sector or digital marketing and media. If you’re able to offer the following, we’d be keen to hear from you:

  • Have an interest in tourism and marketing.
  • Passionate about social media and content creation.
  • Familiar with Instagram, Facebook & YouTube trends.
  • Be organised and a self-starter.
  • Contribute to discussions with ideas and make suggestions.
  • Bring a different perspective.
  • Confident to offer feedback and communicate with the team or members of the public.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to learn about what happens behind the scenes in a tourism role.
