The predicted salary is between 55437 - 58525 £ per year.
You will advise adult social care and community health teams within Torbay Council and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. Your responsibilities will include providing legal advice across a wide area of adult services and social care law, including Community Care, Mental Health, Mental Capacity and all adult social care matters. As a more senior practitioner you will handle more complex matters within your caseload and advise on higher level strategic and policy issues. You will also support the team with a varied and busy caseload and work to deadlines in a flexible hybrid (remote and on‑site) model.

- High level of knowledge of the law and procedure within a specialist discipline in the team work area.

Experience & Qualifications
- Admitted as a practising Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEX (or equivalent) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
- Suitable training as a legal advisor / advocate.
- Experience of handling complex / competing matters.
This post meets the requirements of the Public Services Network (PSN) and therefore will require a Basic Criminal Record Check, showing any unspent convictions and conditional cautions. As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
