Maldon District Council is recruiting a Policy Planner to support the Planning Policy team. The role is full-time, hybrid with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation, monitoring and review of planning policy across the district, undertake research and analysis, produce key policies and evidence reports, and support consultation and public engagement activities. The position will also involve working with infrastructure providers, neighbouring authorities and Essex County Council on strategic planning matters.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, monitor and review planning policy across Maldon District.
- Conduct research and analysis to support policy development.
- Assist in the production of key policies and evidence reports.
- Support consultation and public engagement activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure providers, neighbouring authorities and Essex County Council on strategic planning matters.
- Support the Management of Section 106 agreements and produce the Authority Monitoring Report (AMR).
- Assist Development Management colleagues on significant development proposals.
